Welcome! My name is Sierra, and I am a wife, mother, and nurse. Here is where I share my love for all things good for the belly and soul: real food, homegrown ingredients, and a holistic home.
To cut to the chase, I’m the type to eat a large salad straight from my garden, and then follow it immediately with a warm, freshly baked cookie (or two).

My Roots
My roots in the kitchen started when I was just big enough to climb up onto the step stool to help flip the pancakes and mash the potatoes.
Many years and recipes later, I’m now cooking our meals from scratch with my toddler at my side (potato masher in hand).
Along the way, I became a registered nurse and have been working at the bedside for over 5 years.
Through caring for patients and educating them on their health, I gained a passion for learning about the immense health benefits of whole, real foods.
This led me into gardening and learning how to grow some of my produce just outside my back door.
From there, my world changed forever.
I believe real food is real medicine. It has the power to feed, nourish, and heal us in more ways than one.
Real food is whole, fresh, and seasonal. It connects us to our health, our earth, our loved ones, and our most cherished memories.
The garden has taught me that homegrown ingredients can be used far beyond the kitchen.
From natural, holistic remedies to clean and simple home products, the garden can provide us with everything we need to live as nature has intended.
